WEC - World Championship Positions after Four Races
As the FIA World Endurance Championship heads to Central America for round 5 of the 2017 season, the 6 Hours of Mexico, the fight for the various championships is still close with plenty of points on offer in the final five races.
The 2017 LMP1 FIA World Endurance Manufacturers Championship has seen two wins for Toyota and two wins for Porsche, with Porsche leading by 39.5 points (154 to 114.5) thanks to the German manufacturers win in Le Mans, which garnered double points.

In the LMP FIA World Endurance Drivers Championship the current leaders are the 24 Hours of Le Mans winners Brendon Hartley, Earl Bamber and Timo Bernhard, the trio currently on 108 points after also winning the race in Germany last month. Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps winners, Anthony Davidson, Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi are 30 points behind their Porsche rivals on 78 points.

The 2017 GT FIA World Endurance Manufacturers Championship sees Ferrari and Ford tied on 135 points after four races. The Italian manufacturer is classified in first place thanks to the two wins in Belgium and Germany compared to one win in Silverstone for the American firm. 24 Hours of Le Mans winners Aston Martin are on 113 points with Porsche on 106. Aston Martin won the 6 Hours of Mexico 12 months ago and the British manufacturer will be looking for another win to close the gap.

The 2017 GT FIA World Endurance Drivers Championship is currently led by round 1 winners Andy Priaulx and Harry Tincknell. The British Ford GT duo are currently on 84 points, 10 points ahead of former teammate Pipo Derani and 11 points in front of Porsche drivers Fred Makowieci and former GTE champion Richard Lietz. 24 Hours of Le Mans winners Darren Turner, Daniel Serra and Jonny Adam are in 4 th on 69 points, the Aston Martin trio just 7 points in front of Ferrari race winner Alessandro Pier Guidi and James Calado.

In LMP2 the no 38 Jackie Chan DC Racing is in a commanding lead after taking three wins, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, from the four European races. Drivers Ho-Pin Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent are currently on 116 points, 46 ahead of Bruno Senna and Julien Canal in the no31 Vaillante Rebellion Oreca-Gibson.

FIA World Endurance Trophy – LMGTE Am
The top three cars in the LMGTE Am FIA World Endurance Drivers are split by just two points. The crews of the no61 Clearwater Racing Ferrari F488, Keita Sawa, Matt Griffin and Weng Sun Mok, and the no77 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche 911. Christian Ried, Marvin Dienst and Matteo Cairoli are tied on 88 points, with the Ferrari crew being classified in first place. The Clearwater Racing team are currently on 102 points at the head of the Team’s Trophy, 8 points ahead of Dempsey-Proton Racing. Paul Dalla Lana, Pedro Lamy and Mathias Lauda are just two points behind the two leading crews in the no98 Aston Martin Racing Vantage, the Round 2 winners having scored a 100% record of pole positions so far this season.
