WEC: Dumas fastest for Glickenhaus in FP3; LMGTE Pro Led by Corvette Racing

Romain Dumas made it two free practice sessions out of three that Glickenhaus sat atop the timing screens after he set a ferocious pace in the final session before qualifying at Monza later today.
Dumas headed the pair of all-new Peugeot 9X8 Hypercars as the French manufacturer continued to make impressive progress on its public debut.
Corvette forged to the front in the LMGTE Pro category as Nick Tandy led the way ahead of the No.92 Porsche.
LMP2 witnessed the No.28 JOTA entry emerge fastest as Jonathan Aberdein set the pace, while in the LMGTE Am class Ferrari headed Porsche in a close battle for supremacy.
Hypercar
- Glickenhaus back to the top in Hypercar as Romain Dumas peaks on a best lap of the meeting so far
- Dumas laps in a 1m36.813s with Glickenhaus 007LMH despite encountering some traffic on run down to Parabolica
- Peugeot TotalEnergies duo are second and third as No.93 heads No.94 9X8 by just 0.065s
- Mikkel Jensen and Gustavo Menezes set times respectively as Peugeot remains just 0.2s off the ultimate pace
- Toyota Gazoo Racing place fourth and fifth as No.8 Toyota GR010 shades No.7 sister car with Brendon Hartley and Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel
- Alpine Team ELF take fifth fastest time with Nicolas Lapierre at the wheel of Alpine A480-Gibson
- Alpine ELF Team are sixth as team work predominantly on long runs during final 60-minutes of practice
LMGTE Pro
- Corvette Racing heads the class as Nick Tandy proves fastest by lapping in 1m45.902s
- British driver outpaces the No.92 Porsche GT Team car by just under 0.1s with Michael Christensen aboard the Porsche
- AF Corse places third and fourth as No.51 heads No.52 488 GTE Evo with Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Fuoco setting times
- But local favourites suffer from some overheating during the session as ambient temperatures rise to 34 degrees
- Gimmi Bruni places fifth in LMGTE Pro in No.91 car as he sets a quickest lap of 1m47.243s
LMP2
- Jonathan Aberdein puts No.28 JOTA atop the times in LMP2 as South African sets an outright best lap of 1m38.904s
- No.31 WRT car is second as Robin Frijns again sets fastest time in the Belgian entered Oreca-Gibson but is 0.193s off the top spot
- Fruitful session for WRT as the Realteam WRT entered car is third after Ferdinand Habsburg sets a 1m39.147s best
- Richard Mille Racing fightback from a difficult FP2 to go fourth as Charles Milesi is just 0.003s off third place
- Fifth in class is the No.45 Algarve PRO Racing entry as James Allen also claims top position in Pro/Am
- Prema Orlen Team complete the top six after Robert Kubica ensures that just 0.361 covers blankets six cars
LMGTE Am
- Nick Cassidy takes fastest time in LMGTE Am as Kiwi laps in 1m47.676 with No.54 AF Corse Ferrari
- Harry Tincknell had set the pace for most of the session as he laid down a 1m47.823s best lap in No.77 Dempsey Proton Porsche 911 RSR
- Giancarlo Fisichella leaves it late to snatch third place in No.60 Iron Lynx Ferrari
- Iron Dames squad finish session in fourth position as Michelle Gatting sets best lap
- D’Station Aston Martin sits fifth with Tomonubu Fuji setting a 1m48.101 late in session
