The five types of TCR car set for action in the 2020 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup were on track during a successful two-day Goodyear tyre test at the Parcmotor circuit in Castellolí near Barcelona last week.

Salzburgring in Austria will join the 2020 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup from 24-26 July, while Hungaroring will host the opening event of the upcoming season as part of planned changes to the calendar approved by the FIA Touring Car Commission at its meeting in Paris today (Wednesday).

Following the World Motor Sport Council meeting in December in Paris, the 2020 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup calendar has been approved. The revised schedule isn’t; however, the only novelty the world’s premier touring car racing series will see in 2020.

Goodyear has been confirmed as the exclusive Tyre Supplier to the WTCR - FIA World Touring Car Cup under a three-year agreement with the FIA from 2020.
