The no1 Porsche 919 hybrid set the fastest time in the second of the two 90-minute Free Practice sessions on the opening day of the 6 Hours of Silverstone weekend, the opening round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship.

On a damp Silverstone track and under grey skies the first practice session of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship got underway.

Britain’s Harry Tincknell will have a busy weekend at Silverstone as the 24 year old from Exeter will be part of Ford’s debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship, joining fellow Brits Andy Priaulx and Marino Franchitti in the no67 Ford GT, and also taking part in the European Le Mans Series race on Saturday, racing the G-Drive Racing Oreca in the LMP2 class.
