The cars gathered at La Source at Spa-Francorchamps for the traditional preseason group shot. Thirty-five cars lined up at the world-famous corner with the new for 2021 season Toyota GR010-Hybrid Hypercars at the front.

The opening round of the six race 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship will take place in Belgium at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday 1 May.

The ACO and L’Equipe have announced today a new three-year free-to-air broadcast agreement for the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Scheduled on August 21-22, the 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, round four of the FIA World Endurance Championship, will be preceded by a test day and four support races taking place over five days of intense track action.

In order to harmonise performance levels between the Hypercar and the LMP2 categories, the FIA WEC Committee and the ACO have decided to further adjust performance of the cars competing in the LMP2 class.

The 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship gets underway in Spa-Francorchamps next month with the Official Prologue and round one of WEC Season 9 which sees a total of 37 cars on the first version of the entry list.

The 89th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, round 4 of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, is set to welcome 62 cars at the iconic Circuit de La Sarthe on August 21-22, 2021.

The 89th 24 Hours of Le Mans was originally due to take place on June 12–13. However, the Automobile Club de l’Ouest has now rescheduled the event to August 21–22, when there will be a chance of spectators being able to attend the race, in strict compliance with the applicable health and safety measures.

The first two rounds of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship in Portimão (Portugal) and Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) will be staged behind closed doors.

Ferrari has confirmed that it will enter the FIA World Endurance Championship’s new Hypercar category from 2023.
