The CIK-FIA extends its sincere condolences to the Karczag family and the ACM (Automobile Club de Monaco) on the sad news of the death on Saturday, 19 September of Pierre Karczag at the age of 93 years old
Pierre Karczag

Pierre Karczag had been a member of the International Karting Commission of the International Automobile Federation (CIK-FIA) over a period of 40 years, from the mid-60s until 2004, in his capacity as ACM representative with the CIK Executive Committee and as a CIK/FMK Treasurer from 1979 to 1999. In addition to his huge contribution to the works of the CIK-FIA, he also acted as an Official at many CIK Championship rounds and was a key contributor to the prestigious Karting events Monaco hosted, notably the World Karting Championship final round in 1967 and the numerous Monaco Kart Cups organised on a section of the current Formula 1 GP circuit from 1995 until 2010. Pierre Karczag was also a Vice-President of the Automobile Club de Monaco.

Our thoughts are with Pierre’s children, family and friends at this difficult time.
