MAK launches road safety contest for children
MAK launched a storytelling and drawing contest, featuring Club Captain Superhero. The contest addresses children, parents and everyone interested in improving road safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Club was aiming at creating exciting stories while having fun and thus educating children on safe behaviour in traffic and diminishing accident numbers.
The best tales, pictures and comics with Club Captain Superhero in the centre were rewarded, showed in an exhibition and published in an educational booklet of the Club.
Blessed with superpowers, Club Captain was brought to life in 2019 when MAK renewed its road safety programme.
Club Captain has supported children in learning traffic rules during road safety education offered by the Club in schools and become one of the stars of the summer festivals and family events visited by MAK road safety team.
During lockdown, their goal was not only to shape the Club Captain figure together by dreaming of new features and telling stories but also to support the “stay at home” message in order to save lives.
MAK received around 300 applications including tales and comics by the end of the call for proposals on 31st May.
