The support race for the first round of the KF-Junior World Championship, the Super KF International Cup gathered at the Sarno circuit with most of the leaders in the category but a lack of other entries. The vagaries of the Neapolitan weather did not make the running of the competition easy. Although the race was dominated from start to finish by the Pole Karol Basz, the fight was still intense throughout the meeting and especially in the finals including an epic duel with Nicklas Nielsen.

Karol Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) already showed his determination in qualifying in sunshine. He took pole position, but Lance Stroll (Zanardi-TM-Vega) was only 6 milliseconds back, followed by Paolo Besancenez (Tony Kart-TM-Vega).

Matteo Vigano (Top Kart-Parilla-Vega) won in the pouring rain in the first heat ahead of Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega). Basz regained the lead in heat 2 against Martin Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), but Stroll was in 1st place in the last head ahead of Boccolacci. The track was either wet or slippery during this phase. Consistently in the top group, Basz was in first position in the intermediate classification, Boccolacci 2nd and Vigano 3rd.

Sun and slick tires were back for the prefinal. Basz took off while the battle raged for second place between Nielsen, Stupenkov and Kodric. Basz escaped again from the start of the final, ahead of Stupenkov and Kodric. But Nielsen forced his way through and managed to reach the leader by setting extraordinary times. The Dane took the lead on lap 8, but the Pole did not admit defeat. The result would be decided on the last lap in the last corner, and finally Basz imposed against Nielsen. Kodric took 3rd place, Boccolacci 4th and Besancenez 5th.
