Auto Bild Motor Sport asked President Todt’s friend and former Scuderia Ferrari alumnus, Stefano Domenicali, to present the ‘golden boot’ award and in doing so he paid tribute to “a man totally dedicated to his job, and a role model to everyone”.

Speaking at the ceremony, Jean Todt commented: “It is a great honour to receive this award and this is a moment I will cherish always. When you have been fortunate to achieve some success in your career, as I have, you must try to give something back to the world, which has been my motivation since being elected President of the FIA and my appointment as the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety.”
