INTERNATIONAL COURT OF APPEAL - HEARING SEPTEMBER 18, 2018
The following hearing of the International Court of Appeal will take place in Paris:
Hearing
Appeals lodged by G-Drive Racing and TDS Racing against the decisions No. 74 and 75 dated 18 June 2018 of the Stewards of the 24 Hours of Le Mans counting towards the 2018 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)
Appeal lodged by G-Drive Racing
On 18 June 2018, on the basis of a report from the Technical Delegates which stated that “an additional machined part not featuring on the drawing is inserted into the flow restrictor, changing the wetted restrictor surface described by the regulatory drawing”, the Stewards decided to disqualify car No. 26 (competitor G-Drive Racing) from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, considering that this additional part was in breach of the 2018 Technical Regulations for LMP2 and of the International Sporting Code.
On 20 June 2018, G-Drive Racing decided to appeal the decision No. 74 taken by the Stewards during the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Appeal lodged by TDS Racing
On 18 June 2018, on the basis of a report from the Technical Delegates which stated that “an additional machined part not featuring on the drawing is inserted into the flow restrictor, changing the wetted restrictor surface described by the regulatory drawing”, the Stewards decided to disqualify car No. 28 (competitor TDS Racing) from the 24 Hours of Le Mans, considering that this additional part was in breach of the 2018 Technical Regulations for LMP2 and of the International Sporting Code.
On 20 June 2018, TDS Racing decided to appeal the decision No. 75 taken by the Stewards during the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Given the close connection between these two appeals, it was decided that they would be jointly examined during the same hearing.
