Resulting from a long and close collaboration between the CIK-FIA and the major manufacturers, the new specification of the 2016 kart engines will be officially presented at the second Competition of the 2015 CIK-FIA European Championship for KF and KF-Junior in Great Britain at the PF International circuit. Simplicity, lightness, performance and cost were the main concerns of the designers of the new OK and OK-Junior engines. The aim is to extend the use of these engines in the various national championships around the world.

Until the final two hours of the Le Mans 24 Hours, a race which had witnessed an amazing battle between all four manufacturers represented in the LMGTE Pro and Am classes, it looked as though 2014 victors AF Corse and Aston Martin Racing would each be repeating their visit to the top step of the podium. But, Le Mans can be a cruel mistress and the twice-round-the-clock classic was not kind to either team.

Porsche sealed an historic victory today in the 83rd running of the Le Mans 24 Hours, the German marque finishing a convincing first and second in front of 263,500 spectators to break Audi’s stranglehold on the jewel in the crown of sportscar racing.

As the 83rd Le Mans 24 Hours rolls towards its final quarter – the 6 hours being the distance of a regular round of the World Endurance Championship – there have been incidents throughout all four classes which have had an effect on the overall classification.

At the half way point of the 24 Hours of Le Mans the no19 Porsche of Nick Tandy is holding a comfortable 61 second lead after 193 laps of racing. The British driver’s nearest rival is Marco Bonanomi in the no9 Audi R18.

The Volkswagen Motorsport crew of Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia claimed their fourth FIA World Rally Championship victory of the season today by winning one of the toughest rounds so far this year, Rally Italia Sardegna.

The French President has today visited the legendary Le Mans race, where he took part in a group photo to promote the importance of road safety to fans attending the FIA World Endurance Championship event

The incident packed first 6-hours saw drama and excitement at every turn of the 14km Le Mans track.
