The #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar driven by Jose-Maria Lopez, Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway took victory in the Bapco 6 Hours of Bahrain this afternoon, the penultimate race in the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship and extended their points advantage as they chase a second FIA World Drivers’ Championship.

Portugal’s Eduardo Freitas has over 30 years of experience as a marshal, Clerk of the Course and FIA Race Director, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the FIA World Endurance Championship, FIA WTCC, FIA World RX and FIA GT but the FIA Hill Climb Masters was his first experience of managing a major hill climb event.

The #7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar was fastest in the final free practice session for round five of the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship, the final session before qualifying for the 6 Hours of Bahrain which takes place at 16h30. Porsche head both LMGTE classes once again, with the #28 JOTA taking the top position in LMP2 for second consecutive session as air temperatures sizzle at 34.3 degrees Celsius!

On Sunday 24 October Sophia Floersch took part in the 4 Hours of Portimão, the season finale of the 2021 European Le Mans Series, racing an LMP2 Oreca 07 for Algarve Pro Racing alongside 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 winners Ferdinand Habsburg and Richard Bradley.

Porsche once again placed 1-2 in LMGTE Pro, while the championship #28 JOTA takes top position in LMP2 and Matteo Cairoli again stars in LMGTE Am in the #56 Project 1 Porsche.
