Local hero crew Hayden Paddon and John Kennard scored an emphatic win in their Hyundai i20 AP4 car at the opening round of the 2019 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship, contested for the first time in New Zealand’s South Island. Behind Paddon-Kennard were the father-son cars of Andrew Hawkeswood/Jeff Cress and Jack Hawkeswood/Alex Parkin, both crews driving a Mazda 2 in AP4-specifications.
