The FIA University hosts fourth edition of Emerging Leaders
29 participants, representing 21 clubs from 15 countries – including members from Africa and the Caribbean – were brought together in Barcelona. The ELP, being a global programme, has now had participants from all regions and continents.
This edition of the ELP brought together a wide variety of the FIA’s family of clubs, with larger clubs like the ADAC (Germany), OAMTC (Austria), RACE (Spain) and the Australian clubs, as well as clubs with fewer members like the AMZS (Slovenia), ACA (Albania) or JAA (Jamaica) all in attendance. Participants from the motor sport field such as KNAN (Norway), ATCUAE (United Arab Emirates) and RAC (Rwanda), as well as club related companies and partners were also present.
Experts and the FIA University professors organised a five day programme covering topics such as:
- Leadership & Strategy
- Strategy & the CEO perspective
- Market positioning & business models
- Innovation & leading change
- Making things happen
Andrew McKellar, Secretary General FIA Mobility, addressed the group with the similar challenges the FIA and clubs face as membership organisations.
One of the sessions also involved a webinar that included members from other clubs who were unable to be there in person.
The FIA University Emerging Leaders Programme provides a unique educational opportunity, contributing to both clubs’ and individuals’ growth and allowing for networking and creation of relationships among Club executives addressing similar challenges around the world.
Save the date for the FIA University ELP 5th edition: 7-11 March 2016 (TBC).
