Réunis le 5 décembre à Saint-Petersbourg, les membres du Conseil Mondial du Sport Automobile de la FIA ont validé les calendriers des Championnats Historiques de la FIA pour 2019, ainsi que trois séries internationales historiques.

Nouvelle compétition de la série des Championnats d'Europe FIA Historic F3, la Coupe d'Europe FIA Historic F3 a passé avec brio son test d'ouverture à Zandvoort, avec 30 voitures inscrites, une large gamme de marques de châssis et moteurs et des pilotes de 8 nationalités différentes. Les vainqueurs sont le Danois Christian Olsen dans la catégorie 2, et l'Allemand Marcel Biehl dans la catégorie 1.

Unsurprisingly, the fifth round of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship, the Lahti Historic Rally, was dominated by Finnish drivers, who won three of the four categories in the competition, with the fourth win, in Category 2, going to another northern European driver, Sweden’s Tony Jansson (Ford Escort RS2000).

Held in the Belgian city of Ypres, the fourth event of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship was dominated by the local drivers. In the European classification, the only notable change was the transfer of power in Category 2 between American Iain Dobson and Hungarian László Mekler.

Held in Spain, the third event of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship played host to the victories of the Cazaux-Vilmont (Category 4), Ferreiro-Anido (Category 3), Graham-Graham (Category 2) and Parisi-D’Angelo (Category 1) crews.

The Finnish crew of Harri Toivonen-Cedric Wrede dominated Category 4 in their Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 during the 27th edition of the Historic Vltava Rallye in the Czech Republic, the second round of the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship.

The first edition of the FIA Historic Formula 3 European Cup, a new event in the panorama of FIA Historic Championships, will take place over the first weekend of September this year. This provides the ideal opportunity to go back 40 years and recall the inaugural event of the 1978 Formula 3 European Championship, won hands down by Jan Lammers.

The FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship opened in Spain with the victories of Serge Cazaux, Xavier Ferreiro, Steve Perez and Antonio Parisi in Categories 4, 3, 2 and 1 respectively.

The winners of the FIA 2017 Historic Championships were honoured in Paris, during an evening which looked back at the memories of 2017, as well as forward to the projects for the upcoming 2018 season.
