2021 RallyRACC Catalunya - Friday afternoon

The World Motor Sport Council convened today for the third meeting of 2021. The meeting was hosted in Paris by FIA President Jean Todt with FIA Deputy President for Sport Graham Stoker and WMSC members in attendance and those joining by video conference from around the world.

The second phase of the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission ’ s innovative talent detection and nurturing programme is set to start next week (October 21-27) when the selected young racers from around the globe convene at the Circuit Paul Ricard for the FIA Girls on Track – Rising Stars shoot-out and training camp.

On 5 October, the FIA High Level Panel for Road Safety (HLP) chaired by FIA President Jean Todt held an online workshop entitled “Motor Insurance and Road Safety” gathering about 70 participants. Building on the outcomes of the “Strategic Discussion on Automotive Insurance and Road Safety: Aligning the Stars to Pave the Way to Safer Mobility”, the workshop aimed at facilitating the dialogue between road safety experts, representatives from governments, multilateral Development Banks and the industry on the synergies between motor insurance and road safety.
