FIA General Assemblies week in Kigali, Rwanda, was the setting for the FIA’s latest Sustainable Innovation Series event.

Alexandre Stricher claimed victory, after cutting emissions by a third during a live final. The final marked the end of a year-long season – which saw participants from 92 countries compete and achieve an average emissions reduction or battery saving of 9%. The FIA Smart Driving Challenge is the world’s only challenge that unites all drivers to adopt smart, safe, eco-friendly behaviour at the wheel.
