The WTCC event at the Hungaroring came to an happy ending on the second race, with thousandths of spectators standing up, cheering and waving national flags as Norbert Michelisz’s BMW crossed the line in first place.

A large crowd of 31,000 braved the typically changeable Spa weather to see the WEC 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and were treated to a great race and the first race and first victory for the new Audi R18 Ultra, a worthy successor to its distant ancestor the R8.

The Chevrolet team made up from a disappointing qualifying session last week at the Slovakia Ring, as their three drivers were back on top filling the first three spot on the grid for tomorrow’s Race 1.

The qualifying sessions escaped rain, despite big black clouds that overshadowed the Spa- Francorchamps circuit. It was during a session without any major incidents that a hybrid prototype qualified on pole for the very first time with Allan McNish at the wheel of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro #2.

This weekend Round 2 of the FIA World Endurance Championship will take place at Spa- Francorchamps in Belgium, with the race debut of the new hybrid Audi R18 e-tron quattro.

Sebastien Loeb has made it seven wins in succession on Philips Rally Argentina to extend his lead at the top of the FIA World Rally Championship powered by Nokia.

Sebastien Loeb was a winner in Argentina in more ways than one. In addition to landing his 70th victory in the FIA World Rally Championship powered by Nokia, he has also grown his advantage in the title race to 18 points.

Norbert Michelisz will start the first of tomorrow’s two WTCC races at the Slovakia Ring from pole position.

Sebastien Loeb will start the final day of Philips Rally Argentina firmly on course for his seventh victory on the event and his 70th in the FIA WRC powered by Nokia after Citroen team-mate Mikko Hirvonen was told to hold position.
