For Kenyan motor sport professional and graduate of the FIA High Performance Programme, Tuta Mionki, 2024 offered an invaluable opportunity to immerse herself in the world of stewarding at the highest possible level, through experience gained in both FIA Formula 1 World Championship and the FIA World Rally Championship

A fundraising campaign led by the Motorsport UK community has successfully facilitated the delivery of a Pinzgauer 6×6 armoured ambulance to Ukraine. Launched in 2022, the campaign aimed to support the Federation Automobile d’Ukraine (FAU) with a target of £60,000 to ensure the safe passage of the vehicle and necessary supplies.

The fourth edition of the FIA Immersion Programme, co-funded by the FIA Foundation, successfully wrapped up, bringing together 17 emerging motorsport leaders from around the world. Representing Clubs from diverse countries such as Argentina, Armenia, Bahrain, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Jordan, Korea, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Paraguay, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Syrian Arab Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turkey, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills to strengthen their respective organisations and contribute to the global motorsport community.

On Saturday, 20 April, the city of Foggia and ACI Sport proudly hosted the Prize Giving for the 2023 Rally & Speed season to celebrate the achievements of drivers and teams across a wide range of categories. Following last year’s success, the 2024 Basilicata, Molise and Puglia championships will include a total of 27 events, across 5 disciplines, with over 350 drivers expected to take part.

As a part of its efforts to disseminate innovation and knowledge, the FIA proudly continues to empower its Sport Members with the Esports e-training module. Live since March 2023, the module underscores the FIA’s commitment to establishing a standardised training framework for Esports Officials globally, offering a valuable resource for National Sporting Authorities (ASNs) and fostering a network of FIA-trained Esports Officials for future competitions.

The FIA Immersion Programme, which provides capacity-building for Sporting Clubs, has returned for a second edition after a successful launch in 2022. The 10-day trip offered six 28-34-year-old Club members the opportunity to visit the FIA Headquarters, learn from FIA teams, and take this experience back to their country and community.

In an effort to further promote the Olympic Esports Series 2023 Motor Sport Event, the FIA has launched a series of online webinars to train National Sporting Authorities (ASN) on how to participate in the event. Announced on March 1, the first-ever Olympic Esports Week is a joint initiative by the FIA, the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and Gran Turismo, scheduled to take place from June 22-25 at Singapore's Suntec Centre.

The FIA has announced the selection of seven new participants for the second edition of its Immersion programme. The programme will take place in Paris, Geneva, and Valleiry from 9 to 18 May 2023, and will include 10 days of training and meetings, as well as participation in a sports event conducted by the organisers and the FIA.

The World Motor Sport Council convened for the first time in 2023 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was hosted by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem along with FIA Deputy President for Sport, Robert Reid. WMSC members joined in person and via video conference.
