Jean Todt, President of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, brought together the members of the FIA High Level Panel for Road Safety (HLP) in Paris on Monday 1 October.

On October 17 the Canadian government will legalize cannabis. The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) has been preparing for the change, raising awareness on the dangers of cannabis-impaired driving.

Excessive speed is one of the leading causes of road fatalities. An estimated 40%-50% of people drive over the speed limit and a 5% reduction in average speed could result in a 30% decrease in number of fatal crashes.
