The Automobile Association of Zimbabwe (AAZ), in partnership with the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe (TSCZ), has embarked on a Road Safety Education project at schools in a number different provinces of Zimbabwe to address the need for safer roads in the country

Germany’s biggest auto club, Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobile-Club (ADAC) and Romanian club Automobil Clubul Roman (ACR) were awarded a subsidy through the 2014 FIA Capacity Building Grant Programme, which they used to translate, promote and implement “Rescue Sheets” in Romania.

What about connected drivers? In 2015, a study focusing on the evaluation of how the use of smart glasses for navigation would affect driver behavior compared to the use of a satellite navigation device or high quality verbal instruction got funded through the FIA Road Safety Grant Programme. The project was developed by the RAC Foundation in cooperation with experts of the Human factors and Simulation Group at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).
