The 2023 FIA President’s Awards nine finalists were selected from a field of 44 projects submitted by FIA Member Clubs around the world, in recognition for their remarkable actions to drive positive societal change for safer roads and a greener, more equal, inclusive and diverse future.

This autumn, Avto-Moto Zveza Slovenije (AMZS) hosted the FIA Region I’s and ARC Europe’s 2023 Road Patrol Training for Excellence, while the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA Kenya) hosted the FIA Region I African Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTA) Road Patrol Training for Excellence.

The FIA University continues its commitment to empower Member Clubs. Following the successful delivery of the FIA University Emerging Leaders and Senior Executive Programmes, it proudly reports the success of its flagship courses: the Certificate in Motorsport Leadership and Management and the Certificate in Modern Sport Governance. Launched respectively in June and October 2023, these courses have seen an overwhelming response with over 250 individuals actively enrolled. Developed and delivered by the FIA, theyare offered to Members at no cost.

The Automobile Association of South Africa (AASA) has received its first 1-star rating from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Environmental Accreditation Programme.

FIA Member Clubs demonstrated their commitment to a safer future on the roads with 13 entries to the 2023 FIA President's Road Safety Award.

Last week, FIA Mobility spoke at leading global road and transport conference Tomorrow Mobility World Congress. FIA Secretary General for Automobile Mobility and Tourism Jacob Bangsgaard, FIA Director of Road Safety and Global Advocacy Stefano Ammirati, and FIA Sustainable Mobility Manager Asuka Ito participated in three separate panels, contributing to conversations around the role of governance in the just transition to net zero, advanced planning tools in urban mobility, and zero emissions mobility.

CAA Niagara has received a 2-star rating from the FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme in recognition of its commitment to making a positive impact on the environment and its communities.

Last month, FIA Mobility attended the General Meeting of the Regional Observatory for Road Safety in Ibero-American Countries (OISEVI) in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to discuss road safety challenges in Latin America. The event gathered more than 20 national road safety agencies and key international organisations, including the WHO, World Bank, IADB, FICVI and iRAP.

This October, FIA Member Clubs participated in the fifth edition of the FIA University Senior Executive Programme, organised in partnership with the world-renowned Columbia Business School in New York City.
