Initially scheduled to take place in Brazil, the FIA Karting World Championship - OK & Junior has been rescheduled very early in the season in Portugal to cope with the difficulties generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. 177 Drivers are committed to participating in the last and probably most exciting Competition of the season at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve from 5th to 8th November 2020.

The FIA has launched an official disciplinary inquiry into the incidents that took place on 4 October 2020 at the FIA Karting KZ World Championship in Lonato, Italy.

The FIA and ACI are deeply concerned by the disturbing events that occurred yesterday during the FIA Karting KZ World Championship in Lonato, Italy, involving drivers, team members and track officials. The FIA has launched an immediate investigation in to the incidents.

15 Middle East and North Africa regional clubs teamed up with the FIA to run the first MENA Karting Championship, held at Muscat Speedway from 10-14 February and organised by the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) .
