2024 will see the first official Nordic Esports champion, when simracers from five nations will battle it out for virtual glory. The Nordic esports racers will compete for the honours in true Nordic style – in rallycross combined with single seaters.

Brazil will host the first edition of the South American Esports Championship. The virtual competition will be held on November 2nd, during the week of the São Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix, and will be run on iRacing using the FIA F4 car.

iRacing and the FIA are pleased to announce the latest step in their collaboration centered around Formula 4: the iRacing FIA F4 Esports Regional Tour. Coming to iRacing later this year, the new series adapts the regionally based real-world FIA F4 format to iRacing’s member base of hundreds of thousands of sim racers across the globe, pitting them in weekly challenges in limited time slots against the top other open-wheel racers from their region.

The FIA is today pleased to bring a licensed FIA Formula 4 experience to iRacing, one of the world’s premier motorsport simulations and a leader in eSports. As part of the agreement, the car currently known as the iRacing Formula iR-04 will be relaunched as the FIA F4 with iRacing’s 2023 Season 3 release in June.
