The 2023 edition of the World Environment Day aims to #BeatPlasticPollution.1 Throughout their life cycle, tyres – a key element of mobility and motor sport – contribute to harmful pollution. However, in recent years, a number of measures have been developed to limit the negative effects of tyres – and through research, sustainability requirements and stricter controls, the FIA is playing its part in reducing the impact.

Australia’s first all-Indigenous race team, Racing Together has launched its new headquarters at Queensland Raceway. The FIA Immersion Programme, which provides capacity-building for Sporting Clubs, has returned for a second edition after a successful launch in 2022. Eight Stewards and 16 Race Directors, representing FIA Member Clubs from around the world, gathered at the FIA headquarters in Geneva to develop their knowledge and set of skills in a two-day workshop with seasoned experts and mentors.

The stated goal of the FIA university accredited course is to identify the best talent from all regions and accelerate their growth to provide a pool of experts across all the FIA World and International championships.
