2 September 2017 – The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) and Essilor announced today the signature of a 3-year partnership on road safety. Within the “FIA Action for Road Safety” campaign, Essilor and the FIA will promote good vision as a key pillar of road safety through wide awareness reaching campaigns.

On 9 August 2017, FIA President Jean Todt, in his capacity as the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, met with several government and institutional stakeholders in Costa Rica to encourage and mobilize sustained political commitment towards making road safety a national priority.

Between the 4th and 11th of August 2017 FIA President Jean Todt travelled throughout Central America to meet with FIA Club presidents and promote road safety.
