The final four special stages of the XXXI Rally Elba Storico were run today with the final classification of the penultimate rally of the 2019 European Historic Sporting Rally Championship being confirmed this evening.

The first six stages have been completed on the XXXI Rally Elba Storico, Round 8 of the 2019 European Historic Sporting Rally Championship and Italian duo ‘Zippo’ and Nicola Arena are the leading EHSRC entry. The Category 3 Audi Quattro completed the first six stages in 4th overall, and 1st in class, behind three local crews, 51.4 seconds behind the overall leader Alberto Salvini in the no4 Porsche 911 RS.

This evening the first two special stages of the Rally Elba Storico, Round 8 of the 2019 European Historic Sporting Rally Championship, will be held on Italy’s third largest island. All stages are open to the public and the organisers of the Rally Elba Storico have made the following information available on the event website.

The Rally Elba Storico on 19-21 September is Round 8 of the 2019 FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship and the second of the two rounds held in Italy. A total of 83 entries have been received by the organisers of the rally, with 27 eligible for championship points.

The Rally Elba Storico will be the host event for Round 8 of the 2019 European Historic Sporting Rally Championship on the 19-21 September and the second of two Italian rounds on the calendar.

After the battle for championship points in the north east of Italy on the Rally Alpi Orientali Historic, the FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship will stay in Italy for Round 8, the Rally Elba Storico on 19-21 September. With just two rounds remaining the fight for the eight category titles and the team crown is now even more intense.
