The FIA World Endurance Championship is preparing for its biggest event of the season, the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-11 June), which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2023

The FIA and the ACO have conducted an in-depth evaluation of tyre usage data together with the FIA World Endurance Championship’s exclusive tyre suppliers, Michelin and Goodyear, and decided to authorise tyre warming for the 24 Hours of Le Mans

A total of 186 drivers is set to battle it out in the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, with the famous endurance classic celebrating its 100th anniversary

Sixty-two cars are set to take part in the centenary 24 Hours of Le Mans, round four of this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship, taking place on 10–11 June

With the introduction of the new Hypercar category, developed jointly by the FIA and the ACO, entries for the 2021 FIA World Endurance Championship have opened today (Friday December 4) and will close on Thursday January 14, 2021. This date also marks the opening of entries for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Team Owner Tom Ferrier has gone from a successful national motorsport career as a driver to running a championship winning race team, including lifting the inaugural Michelin Le Mans Cup GT3 teams title in 2016.

Here is what the winning crews from the four classes said after the 88th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans, Round 7 of the 2019/20 FIA World Endurance Championship, finished with a third victory in a row for the no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing and for Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi, while Brendon Hartley celebrates his second overall win at La Sarthe, once with Porsche and now with Toyota.

Despite gathering storm clouds, and the threat of rain, the 24 Hours of Le Mans has stayed dry for the first 12 hours of the race. The drivers now face the long night with almost 12 hours of running in the dark.
