Professor Sid Watkins OBE 1928-2012. The FIA and the FIA Institute extend their sincere condolences to the Watkins family on the sad news of the death of FIA Institute Honorary President Professor Sid Watkins.

The overcast weather in Sao Paulo threatened to distrupt the second Free Practice session of the first day of action in Brazil but despite a quick shower the track stayed dry for most of the 90-minute session.

Following the drivers’ and team managers’ briefings this morning, competitors took to the track at 1100 hours for the first practice session for the 6 Hours of São Paulo.
