At its meeting on 29 August 2013, the FIA Off-Road Commission discussed the situation of the FIA European Autocross Championship following the stopping of the German event at Seelow (DEU) because the circuit was undriveable, unsafe, and the weather conditions were atrocious.

The following points were considered:

a)      The Stewards duly noted that no classification could be drawn up for the Seelow event (only the practice sessions and the first heat having taken place);

b)      Without the publication of results, the Seelow event cannot be counted among the "best results" mentioned in Article 27.1 of the Championship Sporting Regulations (see below);

c)       Consequently, the maximum possible number of results that can be amassed by a driver over the whole of the Championship is 8.

Considering these facts and situations, the final classification of the FIA European Autocross Championship will take into account the 7 best results achieved by each driver (application of the principle of "total of 8 events less 1").

Extract from the Championship Sporting Regulations:

Art. 27.1 : Maximum number of classifications retained: from the total for the Championship, a certain number of best placing will be retained from the total number of events, according to the FIA Calendar prior to the first event according to the following scale:

–          for 8 or 9 events: the total less 1

Results obtained owing to exclusion must be taken into account and cannot be considered as a void result.
