The last event of the E-Rally Regularity Cup 2019

The Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana, with 60 teams, will culminate both FIA E-Rallye Regularity Cup and Spanish Championship

The Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana, where points count towards the FIA E-Rally Regularity Cup and the Spanish Championship, is to be held on 15, 16 and 17 November in Castellón. This event will resolve the final results of both championships.

The competition, whose main objective is to promote efficient driving and sustainable mobility, has 1,5 of coefficient for the length of event. In this sixth edition, the involvement is expected to register a new record thanks to the attendance of 60 teams, the highest number so far, including 30 electric cars and 30 hybrid cars and other-fuelled cars, these last only participants for the Spanish Championship, that allows the participation of the three categories.

These participant teams include, among others, the leading candidates for the FIA title Artur Prusak and Thierry Benchetrit, who after their second position in E-Rallye Monte-Carlo are currently the leaders of the championship, followed closely by the Italians Walter Kofler and Franco Gaioni just one point behind. The defending champion Didier Malga is currently fourth, and his co-driver, Anne-Valerie Bonnel is second in her classification.

A large number of distinguished national participants from other disciplines like Miguel Fuster, six-time champion of the Spanish Rally Campionship, Efrén Llarena and Sara Fernández, two-times FIA ERC3 Junior and junior world rally champion, Jan Solans, will not want to miss the event either.

For three days, the participant teams will cover a total distance of the itinerary of 470 kilometres divided, for the first time, in three stages. Both the start and the finish of the eco rallye will take place in Castellón, that for a few days will be the capital of the electromotility and where those who wish to may come to see the departure and arrival of the vehicles.

In order to meet all the team requirements, the Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana organization has provided the participants with 32 electric car recharge facilities with an output of 7,4 kWh. This is certainly, the largest infrastructure locally built to date.

The Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana is the 12th stage of the 2019 edition of the E-Rally Regularity Cup, integrated into the FIA Electric and New Energy Championship that will have a total of 12 competitions within 10 countries. The competition, which is restricted to production vehicles which have valid registration documents for public road use, is sponsored by Renault Spain, BP Spain, Mahle and the main public local institutions among others.
