Urban growth in Latin America is constant and, by 2020, large cities in Latin America will house an additional 90 million inhabitants. This population increase has a direct impact on regional mobility conditions: more congestion, more pollution, and lower quality of life, which render measures that drive structural changes fundamental.

In order to address this issue and design solid strategies for the future of mobility in the region, more than 500 senior executives gathered at the Latam Mobility Summit held in Mexico City on the 8-9 May. Latam Mobility Summit was conceived as an international gathering that will set the basis for transformation in Latin America. Coordinated by 10 strategic advisers, the speakers and attendees had the opportunity to thoroughly discuss measures with real impact on the current mobility conditions in the region.

Moreover, the innovating atmosphere surrounding the Latam Mobility Summit did not go unnoticed during the event as the organisers set up a space especially for sustainable mobility entrepreneurs, which was jointly coordinated with MassChallenge Mexico and the purpose of which was to identify innovative projects that contribute to improving the quality of life of a population that directly suffers the impacts of road congestion throughout the region.
