2013 FIA World Rally Championship

Following approval by the members of the World Motor Sport Council at September’s meeting, amendments have been made to the 2013 FIA World Rally Championship Sporting Regulations as part of a cost-reduction process and to attract greater entries. A summary of the World Rally Championship and the revised structure of the support Championships follows:
FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers
SUPPORT CHAMPIONSHIPS In 2013, each round of the FIA World Rally Championship will qualify for the FIA WRC 2 and WRC 3 Championships. When entering an event, drivers and team entrants are required to specify whether they wish to nominate the event as a points-scoring round. Team entrants are permitted up to two cars per team.
An FIA Production Car Cup will be awarded to the driver and co-driver representing a registered entrant in WRC 2 who is driving a Group N4 (Class 3) car.
FIA Junior WRC Championship for Drivers and Co-drivers

SUPER 2000-Rally (1.6 litre turbo)
SUPER 2000-Rally (2 litre)
GROUP R5 This is a new category for 2013 and is intended to be the FIA’s leading and affordable category for 4WD cars below World Rally Cars.
