Twenty Qualifying Heats packed Saturday, 5th May, in a good sporting atmosphere under the sun at Salbris (FRA). Kobe Pauwels in Academy, Jorrit Pex in KZ and Riccardo Longhi in KZ2 were the strongmen of the day. The Qualifying phase will continue on Sunday morning with six heats on the programme, one for each of the Drivers, and as many possibilities of upheaval, before we will know the list of the 34 finalists in each category.

The no8 Toyota Gazoo Racing trio of Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sebastien Buemi got their 2018/19 Super Season title challenge off to a perfect start with a lights to flag victory to claim maximum points at the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Alonso brought the TS050-hybrid home just 1.4 seconds ahead of the no7 Toyota driven by Mike Conway after a last hour safety car eroded the Spanish driver’s large lead.

Toyota Gazoo Racing start from front-row of grid for Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The no7 Toyota of Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway set a combined average lap of 1m54.488s to grab pole position. However all of the times were subsequently cancelled after the Fuel Flow Meter was incorrectly declared (Stewards Decision no14) and the no7 TS050 will start the race from the pitlane.
