The FIA Environmental Accreditation Programme has been designed to help Motor Sport and Mobility stakeholders worldwide to measure and improve their environmental performance and relies on a three-level framework of accreditation. The Automóvil Club de Chile (ACCHI) — which has just received 1-star accreditation in recognition for its commitment to adopt and promote more sustainable practices ­— is the latest Club to have joined the list of accredited FIA Mobility Members.

The first FIA Region I Coordination Forum for Eastern and Central European Countries (COFO) Road Safety Meeting took place on 19-20 September in Poland with the aim to build capacity and develop a pool of road safety experts in the COFO region. Supported by the FIA Road Safety Grants Programme and kindly hosted by the Polski Związek Motorowy (PZM), the meeting gathered representatives from COFO Member Clubs, local police and city authorities and involved speakers from the FIA and FIA Foundation. It also featured a special training session by the Delft University.

As it continues the task of developing motor sport in the Bahamas at the grassroots level, the EduKarting Programme, founded and coordinated by the Bahamas Motorsports Association (BMSA) President David McLaughlin and managed by Vice President Susan Schauff, with the support of the FIA Sport Grant Programme, represents a unique opportunity for young students to learn not only kart driving skills, but also real life ones.

However, a reoccurrence of the gearbox issues the car suffered in Finland has forced the team to retire the car and it will not start the second leg of the event.
