Sweden’s Johan Kristoffersson has won this weekend’s Bompiso Rallycross of Portugal, round one of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, after a dominant display in his Volkswagen Team Sweden Polo RX Supercar.

Norway’s Andreas Bakkerud is leading the season-opening Bompiso Rallycross of Portugal, round one of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, after the event’s first two heats.

Round 1 – Rallycross of Portugal Preview: This weekend marks the opening round of the 2015 FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy where a total of 52 cars including 21 Supercars armed with 600 brake horsepower will go head-to-head in Portugal. The FIA and World RX Championship promoter IMG Motorsports have jointly agreed on a draft calendar for next year’s FIA World Rallycross Championship which is subject of confirmation by the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
