The Italian Flavio Camponeschi has won the CIK-FIA World Karting Championship for the first time in the 49th edition, which was held over two events, in Japan and in Macau. As for the other World Championship, reserved for Drivers under 18 years old, it was landed by Britain’s Henry Easthope, and the French Manufacturer Sodi won the title of World Champion for Makes.
