On 8-9 October, the final of the FIA Region I 2022 International Best Young Driver Contest gathered 17 contestants aged 18-26 who had qualified in their own countries at the Jarama Circuit in Madrid. Hosted by the Real Automóvil Club de España (RACE Spain) and supported by the FIA Road Safety Grants Programme, the contest was won by Stefan Trimmel from Österreichischer Automobil- Motorrad - und Touring Club (ÖAMTC Austria ).

The World Motor Sport Council convened today at the Royal Automobile Club in London for the third meeting of 2022. The meeting was hosted by FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem with FIA Deputy President for Sport Robert Reid and WMSC members joining in person and via video conference.

Designed to improve driver awareness and encourage safe driving habits, the ‘Drive Well Challenge – powered by Garmin’ will enable Greater Than to conduct a study on the relationship between driver health and road risk.
