The Alfa Romeo 4C is picked as safety car
The captivating, multi-award-winning coupé will make its maiden track appearance at Marrakech on April 12 and 13, sporting a special livery.
The Alfa Romeo 4C was chosen by the championship promoter, Eurosport Events, following the awarding of the Grand Prize as Most Beautiful Car of 2013 at the 29th International Automobile Festival in Paris.
The Italian compact supercar won the poll run on Eurosport’s website network, organised in partnership with the International Automobile Festival.
Designed by Alfa Romeo engineers and built at the Maserati plant in Modena, the 4C is the brand's modern icon and represents the sporty characters embedded in the Make’s DNA: performance and technical excellence for maximum driving pleasure combined with a breathtaking style.
François Ribeiro, Motorsport Director at Eurosport Events commented: “The Alfa Romeo 4C is a load of advanced technology and glamorous style. It’s the perfect car to play the role of the safety car in a trendy series like WTCC. We are proud and excited, because the 4C moves the Alfa Romeo brand close to touring car competitions again.”
