FIA names 2024 FIA President’s Awards finalists

First launched in 2022, the FIA President’s Awards celebrate extraordinary Club projects within the fields of Climate Action, Road Safety and EDI. This year’s Awards received nearly 40 applications from leading Member Clubs around the world.

First launched in 2022, the FIA President’s Awards celebrate extraordinary Club projects within the fields of Climate Action, Road Safety and EDI. This year’s Awards received nearly 40 applications from leading Member Clubs around the world.

The projects were assessed based on five evaluation criteria: Relevance, Legacy, Innovation, Sustainability and Impact.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem chaired the selection panel. He said: “The quality of this year’s entries is testament to the incredible work done by our Clubs around the world. Every entry demonstrated an impressive commitment to innovation, creativity, and collaboration, and I am pleased to recognise these efforts by naming our Club finalists.”

The finalists are as follows:

 

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI):

  • Confederação Brasileira de Automobilsmo: Rally dos Sertões SAS – Health and Joy in Sertões
  • Automobile Club d’Italia: Motorsport for People Inclusion-E
  • Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation: Gender Equality

  • Automobile and Touring Club of Nigeria (ATCN): Promoting Net Zero Carbon Emissions from Automobile Sources
  • Federação Portuguesa de Automobilsmo e Karting: Environmental Sustainability in Motorsport in Portugal
  • Saudi Automobile & Motorcycle Federation: SAMF & Saudi F1 Sustainability
