Kenya National Rally Championship leader Karan Patel, navigated by Tauseef Khan in a Ford Fiesta Rally2, has attributed his maiden African Rally Championship (ARC) win to sheer consistency and attention to detail. The Kenyan speedster beat Zambian champion Leroy and Urshlla Gomes by a massive 3:13.1 minutes margin to rack up victory on the energy-sapping volcanic ash soil stages in Naivasha on Sunday. Third was Jasmeet Chana, co-driven by Ravi Chana in a Mitsubishi Evolution 10, in a career best ARC finish while Jeremy Wahome settled for fourth place with navigator Victor Okundi in a Ford Fiesta Rally3 (photos: courtesy of Equator Rally Kenya press and Anwar Sidi).
