3,000 masks and other personal protective equipment supplies were donated to the TTAA by the FIA for national distribution to help in the fight against Covid-19.

On October 7, TTAA President Selwyn Bunny Persad and Vice President Gerald Mendes presented 500 masks to the Port of Spain City Corporation. 

TTAA President Selwyn Persad said: “on behalf of the TTAA, I want to thank the Port of Spain City Corporation for accepting our donation and for the good work that it has been doing during the pandemic.”

Receiving the masks, Mayor Alderman Joel Martinez said: “I would like to thank the Trinidad & Tobago Automobile Association for really coming on board and taking their civil responsibility seriously, offering these 500 masks to the city of Port of Spain. There are never enough masks, it’s something we are constantly using.”

With 110 years of history, TTAA is not only one of the oldest existing organisations in Trinidad & Tobago, but also one of the earliest set up among other clubs in the world to assist, protect and advance the legitimate interests of motorists.

Committed to social responsibility, TTAA will continue its mask distribution initiative in the coming days, to assist T&T citizens, especially the less fortunate ones, as they continue to stand in their fight against the global health crisis.
