Round 8 of the 2021 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Switzerland with the Rallye International du Valais being the host event (21-23 October).

The penultimate round of the 2021 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Switzerland with the return of the Rallye International du Valais to the EHRC calendar, which will be held on the 21-23 October 2021.

After struggling with fuel pump issues on the first leg, the no9 Porsche 911 SC of Karl Wagner and Gerda Zauner had a much better day on the final day of the rally, finishing as the top EHRC car and winning Category 3.

The no11 BMW M3 of Italian crew of Gabriele Noberasco and Giacomo Ciucci was the top EHRC eligible car at the end of the first leg of the 33rd Rally Elba Storico. The Category 4 BMW was lying 8th overall after the first four stages of the Italian rally, 11.4 seconds ahead of the no9 Porsche 911 SC of Karl Wagner and Gerda Zauner, the Austrians heading up Category 3 despite a fuel pump issue that hampered their progress for most of the day.

Round 7 of the 2021 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Italy with the 33rd edition of the Rally Elba Storico being the host event (23-25 September). The island of Elba is the third largest island in Italy after Sicily and Sardinia and is located in the Tyrrhenian Sea, 50 kilometres east of the French island of Corsica.

Round 7 of the 2021 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Italy on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Elba. The 33rd Rally Elba Storico will be held over two days on the 24/25 September and has attracted a large entry of 62 cars, of which 22 are eligible to score championship points.

A hot and sunny day in Northern Spain saw the final seven special stages of the 2021 Rally de Asturias Historico run in the hills surrounding Pravia. The no1 Audi quattro of Italian duo ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno took the fastest time on five of the seven stages to finish the rally 24 seconds ahead of the no3 Ford Escort of Jesus Ferreiro and Javier Anido, the Spaniards taking the fastest time on the first and last stage of the day.

A dry day in Asturias saw the no2 Audi quattro of ‘Zippo’ and Denis Piceno leading by 8.1 seconds at the end of the first leg of the Rally de Asturias Historico. The Italians, who are currently leading the Category 3 Championship, are chasing their fifth category victory in 2021.

Round 6 of the 2021 FIA European Historic Rally Championship will be held in Spain with the Rally de Asturias Historico being the host event (2-4 September). The event in Asturias was originally planned for May this season but, due to the Covid-19 restrictions, it was rescheduled for September to allow the event to go ahead. The rally in Asturias will be the first of two trips to the Iberian Peninsula, with the 69th Rally Costa Brava based in Girona hosting the season finale in November.
