Post event Press Conference - Sunday 16 September

The 30,000 spectators for the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, the fifth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship, were treated to the sight of a flawless outright victory for the No.7 Toyota TS030 Hybrid.

Alex Wurz timed his run to perfection and with just five minutes of the qualifying session remaining and secured the first pole position for the Toyota Racing TS030-Hybrid with a 1m22.383 lap around the Interlagos track.

Under cloudy skies, but on a dry track, the nr1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro was once again the fastest car on the 4.3km Interlagos circuit during the final Free Practice session of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo.

The overcast weather in Sao Paulo threatened to distrupt the second Free Practice session of the first day of action in Brazil but despite a quick shower the track stayed dry for most of the 90-minute session.

Following the drivers’ and team managers’ briefings this morning, competitors took to the track at 1100 hours for the first practice session for the 6 Hours of São Paulo.
