Le 16 avril, à l’occasion du Grand Prix d’Emilie-Romagne, la campagne mondiale de sécurité routière FIA-JCDecaux #3500LIVES a pris un nouvel élan avec le lancement d’un visuel inédit. Réunissant le pilote de Formule 1 de la FIA Mick Schumacher et le Champion du Monde sur route UCI 2020 Julian Alaphilippe, ce support vise à sensibiliser au partage de la route entre les différents types d’usagers.

On 8 April, the FIA High Level Panel for Road Safety (HLP) Experts and Advisors met online to review the advancement of some of the ongoing projects of the HLP and to discuss the role automotive insurance can play in improving road safety, notably through the use of new technologies monitoring driving behaviour.

The move follows the rise in COVID-19 cases on São Miguel island. FPAK and Eurosport Events will announce the new date as quickly as possible, following approval of the FIA.

The European Truck Racing Association (ETRA) the promoter of the championship, in consultation with the FIA and the local race organiser has taken the decision to postpone the 2021 FIA European Truck Racing Championship season-opening event, in a bid to accommodate fans at the new date in October.
