Johan Kristoffersson (Kristoffersson Motorsport VW RX1e) was fastest in the very first SuperPole session, as the all-electric FIA World Rally Championship era began at the Ramudden World RX of Norway – while rival Timmy Hansen (Hansen World RX Team Peugeot 208 RX1e) topped the time sheets after the opening two heats.

The final day of the Lahti Historic Rally, saw Kari Kivenne and Asko Sairanen pull further ahead of championship leaders Ville Silvasti and Risto Pietilainen. The no4 Audi quattro finished the 12th and final stage of the rally 1m04s ahead of the no1 Audi to take maximum championship points in Category 4. Silvasti and Pietilainen also extend their championship lead with just three events remaining.

The first day of the 2022 Lahti Historic Rally, which is the host event for Round 6 of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship, saw Kari Kivenne and Asko Sairanen finish in second overall and the leading FIA EHRC eligible entry. They finished the sixth stage 54.7s ahead of championship leaders Ville Silvasti and Risto Pietilainen.
