The 25th General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from 16 to 20 October 2023, was a landmark event for the international tourism community and for the FIA, which received a Silver Award. The participation of the Federation, represented by FIA Director of Tourism Services Habib Turki, not only celebrated 40 years of partnership but also highlighted the joint commitment of the FIA and the UNWTO to develop future collaborations in various crucial areas.

For their third meeting of the year, members of the World Council Automobile Mobility and Tourism (WCAMT) gathered online to review progress in advancing the agenda for a safer, more sustainable and accessible mobility and the goal to build a knowledge-led federation driven by its Members.

Through the spirit of adventure, cultural exchange, and a commitment to safe driving, the Touring and Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) recently organised an inspiring coast-to-coast SUV tourism rally, spanning a staggering 2,300 kilometers. This extraordinary event took place from April 29 to May 5, 2023, capturing the hearts of Iranians and attracting global attention.

The Touring and Automobile Club of Iran (TACI) has successfully revived the Silk Road with a caravan tourism rally to celebrate Nowruz, the Persian New Year, and promoted a message of peace and prosperity. This event brought together 28 RVs and towed caravans from all over Iran, which were welcomed by Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, all of whom share a common heritage and history.

Twenty-nine FIA Club Delegates attended the inaugural FIA Region II Ideas Forum in Bangkok, Thailand on 24 March to discuss the results of the Capability Building Scoping Study, conducted by the region and to work on commercial collaboration opportunities.

On 9 November, the National Secretariat of Tourism (SENATUR) and the Touring y Automóvil Club Paraguayo (TACPY) presented the Campaign "Best Roadside Restrooms 2020/2021". This eighth edition will emphasise on "opening the doors to inclusion".

Following the digital plan launched by the Emirates Motorsports Organization (EMSO) in March to support Clubs within the ACTAC sub-region in providing Mobility services and products, the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) was the first Club to go live.
