The JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion, in its first year as part of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC), has set an unprecedented standard for environmental responsibility in motor sport. The seventh round of the European series, which took place from August 30 to September 1, implemented measures to achieve a world record for carbon offsetting in rallying, surpassing all previous efforts globally.

As part of the FIA's 'Arrive and Drive' initiative, the Dansk Gokart Cup in Denmark, launched in 2024 and sanctioned by the Danish Automobile Sports Federation (DASU), is setting a benchmark for accessible and inclusive karting. Initiated by Akbar Ebrahim in December 2023, the ‘Arrive and Drive’ model aims to break down economic barriers and broaden participation. By making karting more affordable, it lays a strong foundation for both national and international competitions, promoting engagement at a grassroots level.

The French Federation of Automobile Sport (FFSA) is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Rallye Jeunes Yacco FFSA, a pioneering initiative that has launched the careers of some of the world’s top rally drivers. Established in 1994, this program has been instrumental in discovering and nurturing young racing talent.

The programme will provide a launchpad for up-and-coming female drivers to advance their careers, beginning this European summer.

In December 2023, the FIA initiated a comprehensive karting reform project to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in motor sport. Led by Akbar Ebrahim, this initiative focuses on the ‘Arrive and Drive’ karting formula, which aims to eliminate economic barriers and expand participation in karting. This project seeks to broaden the base of the karting pyramid, enabling newcomers to progress to national and international competitions.

Motorsport UK will host its inaugural StreetCar Festival on 8 September at its Bicester Motion home, celebrating the UK’s vibrant grassroots motorsport community.

The FIA European Historic Rally Championship team hosted a 'First on Scene' first aid training session at the Rally de Asturias Histórico on May 17. The session, held at the Parc Ferme area, focused on essential steps to take when first on the scene of a serious incident and was open to all competitors in the weekend's Historic Rally of Asturias.

Girls' Day 2024 was held with great success on April 25, 2024 as part of the DTM season opener at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. Organised by Deutscher Motor Sport Bund (DMSB) in cooperation with Deutsche Motor Sport Jugend (DMSJ), Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund (DOSB), Deutsche Sportjugend (DSJ) and the project "Klischeefrei im Sport", the event offered ten young girls an insightful behind-the-scene glimpse into the world of motorsport.

With the support of the FIA Sport Grant Programme, Motorsport UK, in collaboration with Loughborough Car Club, has launched a Disabled Drivers Scholarship to make the sport more accessible for disabled participants.

On Saturday, April 6th, the Autoclub of the Czech Republic (ACCR) proudly hosted the Prize Giving for the 2023 season in Prague to celebrate the achievements of Central European drivers and teams across a wide range of categories. Following last year’s success, the 2024 Central European Zone championship will include nearly 100 events across 11 disciplines, with over 1,000 drivers expected to take part.
