The FIA and Nissan have recently renewed their FIA Action for Road Safety agreement. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. will remain an Official Supporter of the road safety campaign.
Nissan formed a partnership with the FIA in 2014 as part of its ongoing effort of pursuing a safer society with fewer road accidents. The partnership sees Nissan promoting road safety worldwide as an Official Supporter of the FIA Action for Road Safety campaign, itself contributing to the UN’s Decade of Action for Road Safety.
Together with the FIA, Nissan aims at tackling the biggest number of road accident injuries and casualties occurring worldwide by advocating safe driving behaviours such as those set out in the FIA Golden Rules for safer motoring.
Nissan is activating this partnership through the Nissan Safety Driving Forum (NSDF). This event teaches visitors the importance of safe driving as well as specific safe driving tips through driving simulators and other engaging content. At the NSDF in Russia, visitors learn about the FIA Golden Rules for safer motoring and sign the FIA Online Pledge to declare their commitment to safe driving.
Furthermore, Nissan initiated a collaboration with Nissan’s in-house motorsport division NISMO, at the annual NISMO festival. The FIA Action for Road Safety core message of safe driving was communicated through such activities as logos featured on the festival cars, an interactive quiz event and professional drivers making a pledge, in front of the many racing fans, to drive safely.
Alongside those actions, Nissan is promoting the campaign across various digital platforms including the FIA Online Pledge (developed with the FIA’s support) with the aim of promoting the FIA Golden Rules for safer motoring and thus improving road safety awareness.
