At its meeting on 29 August 2013, the FIA Off-Road Commission discussed the situation of the FIA European Autocross Championship following the stopping of the German event at Seelow (DEU) because the circuit was undriveable, unsafe, and the weather conditions were atrocious.

The last event for the season included in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship was run at UK´s Santa Pod Raceway, during the European Finals.

Gabriele Tarquini’s victory in the second race at Sonoma also meant that Honda mathematically grabbed the WTCC Manufacturers’ Championship on their first full season in the series.

The two WTCC races at the Sonoma Raceway produced a pair of winners for whom the victories meant far more than the chance to spray the champagne and savour their moment in the winner’s circle.

Gabriele Tarquini won Race 2 at the Sonoma Raceway and so gave Honda the WTCC Manufacturers’ title with three more race meetings remaining.

Tom Chilton converted his first-ever WTCC pole position into his maiden victory in the series when he held off a determined challenge from Tiago Monteiro in a Castrol Honda Civic.

Norbert Michelisz’s Honda Civic and James Thompson’s LADA Granta posted the fastest times in this morning fifteen-minute Warm up session.
